Foggy Memories

Fog

Fog

Cruel, cold, and frosty was how you were,

When we parted.

I hardly remember anything of that fateful day,

My memories foggy with time.

Unwillingly do I think about you now,

For you hinder my vision,

Suffocating me and blurring my eyes from seeing clearly,

You do more harm than good.

Hazy and misty are my thoughts about you,

Dulled and diminished.

Time is indeed a thief, for it has stolen,

Whatever I had left of you.

  1. I wonder if I am the only one who read this and found it amusing? :D. I felt like someone told a pass love interest “gone bout your business” but of course upside down Madvanthi, you did it in a more sophisticated way.

  2. Reminds me of days I was late to work or appointments because I found ice on my windows in an area where you’d least expect it. I’d chip it off with a CD case I found in the backseat. Took a lot of time. The CD usually brought back memories. Nice job!
