Today’s prompt wants us to name our best ‘Neville’ moment. I’ll obviously choose his killing of Nagini with Gryffindor’s sword. Usually, we always see Neville Longbottom portrayed as a cowardly boy, but his sudden surge of courage to ‘avenge’ Harry is remarkable.
Also, though he is a pure-blood, he was believed to be a mediocre wizard. I have an explanation for this. Wands choose their owners. In Neville’s case, it was vice-versa. Since he used his father’s wand, his magical caliber was far less reduced than it would have been if he had taken a wand that chose him.
Do you agree with this theory? What is your best ‘Neville’ moment?
