About

Welcome to The Epic Blog!

I am Madvanthi (or Mads). I am a teenager in India. I love books, mythology, animals and music. And this is my first blog.

Being an introvert, my blog is the only outlet for me to vent my weird thoughts and all that stuff. With the addition of being a nerd and a bookworm, nobody gives a damn to me, so it is really wonderful to be blogging.

I started blogging about epics and myths, but I soon wandered off. Now you will find me blogging about poetry, cricket, short stories, and the random pains of being an Indian teenager. In short – a potpourri of everything epic. Apart from posts which could get me death threats…

I’d really love to have a bunch of loyal followers, who’ll like me for what I blog, not for who I am. Blogging is a boon to people who have got a lot to express, but don’t have an audience,

I’ll strive to encourage other bloggers like me and give constructive criticism (or appreciation) on whatever I read. And I request fellow bloggers to do the same too!!! 🙂

Welcome again!

  1. you write big composition whereas readers are lazy. Write precise and concise content. It will help you get more audience. All the best.
Another thing- Go to Settings>Sharing, and select the checkbox – Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results
Now if someone visits your blog, he/she may like the post without opening the post separately. It will help you get more likes on the blog.

  2. Fellow nerdy introverted teenage bookworm here! This is an amazing blog you have here. i admire how you’re blogging about so many different things, from mythology to poetry to movie reviews. I guess it keeps the content coming regularly but it isn’t something I’ve figured out how to do for my blog yet. You’re the first person I know who is interested in mythology; everybody else just hates history in general (including me :P). So I look forward to keep coming back here and reading more! All the best, keep writing 🙂

  3. Hi friend, I get you completely. I’m from Tamil Nadu, also a nerdy, introvert. I’m trying too express my opinions and thoughts on my blog.
Also, I read you love mythologhy. Have you read Ponniyin Selvan by Kalki (though it will not fall under the mythology category completely).

    • Hi! Chennaite here, living in Bangalore! I’m not such a fluent Tamil reader (facepalms and shrugs), and I’m still on a search for the English copies. Mom says that the Tamil versions are the best, so learing, learning, and learning to read fluently. What about you?

  4. Hi there! It’s interesting how many introverts I’m seeing in the blogverse! I thought I was the only one! (Well, not really but you get the idea :P) Your blog is amazing! I’m a big fan of Harry Potter too, though strangely being a guy, I have zero interest in Cricket (Blasphemy, I know). Looking forward to reading your blog more 🙂
